DaVinci does Dallas

OK , OK I tricked you catchy title huh?Anyway so it wasn’t as big a first weekend as you might have imaged for DaVinci, what can you say Tom Hanks isn’t the best bob office draw or his partner in crime wasn’t a big draw ( who is she anyway) whatever the reason 70 million is not a blockbuster by today’s standards unless you take into account the countless Christians that were admonished not to attended by their fellow brothers and sisters. Whether you want to believe it or not, these vulnerable Christian minds are indeed still vulnerable to the DaVinci code. They may just be waiting for the protesters, the nay Sayers and not to mention Sister Mary Christmas to abandon their DaVinci protest posts in front of the Cineplex’s, before they move stealthily in to witness for themselves why some folks are so upset. This inquiring majority may only insure DaVinci’s staying power and draw of the DaVinci code movie to consistent weekend numbers.

While I haven’t made my way down to the local cinema I have read the book and consider it to be a page turner.( 40 million people apparently have that same opinion). But while I feel comfortable watching the movie I have educated myself on the Gnostics, Constantine and the various councils and conspiracy theories that have the staying power of generations. So I feel protected against the DaVinci code, but there are countless Christians that have kept it simple and have never ventured outside of the basic Sunday school lessons. I wouldn’t be surprised if the study school graduates have more biblical knowledge than the flock of Sunday going Christians.(That exclude the Wednesday night meat eaters of course-( dedicated Christians that attend more than one Sunday meeting thats for you slow folk) fun jab I don’t mean to be a pessimist or one who presents questions without solutions but I think it Hi time Christian respond by standing up for Jesus and the ransom sacrifice he made for all mankind. Its time for Christian to make a statement that they KNOW what they believe and won’t be swayed by a book. It’s time for Christians to stand up and say they won’t be swayed by the Movie and they KNOW what they believe. It’s time for Christians to take the offense and seize minds and hearts of there fellow man. It’s time for Knowledge to be used as an offensive weapon not a defense shield. Based on these facts I found a new symbol created by a group of passionate and mature Christians that will reinforce and embolden their fellow Christians. I’m in a hurry right now but check out this website and tell me if you would be interested in joining the KNOW movement …http://www.knowjesusnosecrets.com

Master McBean on DaVinci code

OK OK let me explain what I meant when I so eloquently stated in previous blog, “ when I go to War” Obviously some of you don’t respect the chain of command you never question the General, you just take the hill, (say this out loud yes Sir Master McBean Sir sorry for the flashback ). What I meant was that it is the responsibility of the church (like the military) to direct the brethren (like the troops) to resources and tools that the brethren can use to fight the good fight or reinforce their faith. It is the responsibility of the individual to study those resources and prepare themselves to make conscious decisions about what they believe. If you don’t know where to start researching DaVinci try this website and search the KNOW Page. http://www.knowjesusnosecrets.com/know.htm

Here is a crazy question. When was the last time you walked into a dentist’s office to get a physical? Hopefully you never did because you took the time to research the Doctors discipline and maybe his certifications (maybe I’m asking too much here) then you made a conscious decision based on the sickness, which doctor to see. Why should that research process change when it comes to church and your beliefs? Which is more import a tooth ache or a heart ache (figuratively speaking of course I realize that may be a little profound for some of you, but you get my point.)

The reality is that people have depended too long on the church, their ministers or priests to provide the knowledge about the bible and church history. This creates dependence that leave the Christian ill prepared when he or she is confronted with historical facts that challenge their faith. I think this is called codependency in the real world (anyway back to my point). I think this relationship, which has been allowed to fester has allowed many Christians to lean on their clergy for all the answers and or opinions about the bible. This is tantamount to asking the first sergeant for a gun in battle. This lack of knowledge and the lack of weapons for debate leave the standard Sunday going Christian on shaky ground when confronted with Gnostics texts like the Gospel of Judas and Mary and total unequipped to deal with the DaVinci code. Well bothers and sisters of the clergy, its time to wean the baby (off breast milk for you slow folk) and direct the masses to the food that sustains life and faith. Direct them to KNOW http://www.knowjesusnosecrets.com/know.htm for some answers on the DaVinci code and basic questions.

The Davinci code opportunity

Welcome to my blog, I guess you are wondering where is "The palace of pleasure"? The palace is my mind, and it’s a pleasure to share my thoughts with you. You see its all about me, (I always wanted to say that) don’t tune out yet. Well let’s get it on. Why is everyone so upset about the Da Vinci code, there is are a variety of opinions on the subject and people are starting to position themselves on various sides of the fence . Some Christians are distressed at the potential of crowds of parishioners leaving the church in droves; I see it as an opportunity for folks to finally crack open a bible and hopefully do some research about the history of the Christian church, the good, the bad and the ugly...

Christians can be their worst and best examples of love, to the world based on their conscious behavior. This conscious behavior will either attract or repel people; you know what I’m talking about, look at the various example of Christian love or lack there of, that has been witnessed on the ABC TV show “Wife Swap” over the past year. In a majority of the cases the non Christian showed more love than the Christian and in most cases, the Christians behavior was down right devilish, yes I said it. (Who do you think edited the video outtakes, think about it?) The reality is that once you take a stand, people will weigh and measure everything you do. The DaVinci code will give the christian church the opportunity to reaffirm their membership by disseminating relevant knowledge (weigh) to the congregation or potentially lose the fence sitters, the Luke warm water tasters and the uncommitted bench sitters http://www.knowjesusnosecrets.com/ is a good start for knowledge). They come to church out of obligation and for social or networking opportunities. The reality is that those fence-sitters may comprise a majority of the current parishioners. That’s the reality, that’s the fear, that’s the weakness and that’s the threat (measure).

So how do you get these fence sitter to commit? Me thinks (I like Shakespeare) a good attack solidifies the base. Look at Pearl Harbor and the World trade center attacks. My thought is the DaVinci code now symbolizes a similar attack in the minds of some christians, and it should solidify the fence sitter to finally pick a side and that’s a good thing.

When I go to war I want to look back and believe that my unit is committed to accomplish the mission. When I look back, I also want to know that they have gained the proper training and the proper tools to accomplish the mission. An idiot with a gun and no training behind you is more dangerous than an enemy in the distance, why should the church be any different.
